Providing Accommodation for Local People with limited Income
St Petrock and Heavitree Parish lands Charity is administered solely by an unpaid voluntary board of Trustees.
The St Petrock and Heavitree Parish Lands Charity own seventy almshouses at seven sites across the city of Exeter, providing accommodation for local people with limited income over the age of 55. One site is restricted to female residents only.
All residents must be capable of living independently as the Charity does not offer any Warden controlled or sheltered accommodation. Much of the accommodation is located at ground floor level or accessible by lift, The accommodation provided consists of one bedroomed flats with communal gardens. The properties are all unfurnished. The Charity currently provided carpets, flooring, blinds and in the kitchen a cooker and fridge.
The Charity is responsible for the maintenance of the grounds, the properties both internally and externally, and for insuring the building.
